Les Jardin De Le Medina. The Perfect Honeymoon Resort.

On our first night back in the wonderful city of Marrakech and we were invited to the beautiful Les Jardins de la Medina for dinner. This restaurant has such a great reputation and is always booked up, we would recommend you book in advance to save disappointment. They offer delicious flavours of Morocco as well as international cuisine from around the world, the combination of flavours and colours are delightful.

We stepped inside the amazing door and it’s like a different world from the medina into this beautiful oasis of calm, enjoying an exclusive location on a quiet medina street just a few minutes’ walk from the main attractions of Marrakech.

We enjoyed a cocktail in the beautiful garden before being seated for dinner in the restaurant and what a spectacular place it is.

The atmosphere was amazing, the restaurant filled up in no time at all. The service was perfect and could not be faulted. We had a moroccan salad to start,to follow I had a Lamb Tagine as my main course this had been slow cooked and melted in your mouth, the flavours were delightful. With a little room left I had cinnamon oranges with a saffron ice cream.

The restaurant and bar occupy the former grand salon of the riad, with its impressive high sculpted cedar-wood ceiling, and have the intimate charm of a bygone era. There is also a sunny restaurant terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. The hotel also has its own rooftop cookery school, although Im not sure I could possibly be taught the amazing skills of the chef!We loved the place so much we came back the next day and stayed for 2 nights and what a treat it was to stay in one of the rare authentic Riads of Marrakesh, next to the Royal Palace in the heart of the medina and its colourful souks. As you step inside the door it’s like a different world from the medina into this beautiful oasis of calm, We were greeted and shown around this amazing riad you have stunning views of everything the Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas mountains. This riad is perfect for a honeymoon location, it has everything you could possibly want or need. Its 36 guest rooms and suites encircle the garden and harmoniously blend traditional architecture with modern comfort.
