Our first night back in this wonderful city and we have been invited to the beautiful Les Jardins de la Medina for diner. This restaurant has such a great reputation and is always booked up, we would recommend you book in advance to save disappointment. They offer delicious flavours of Morocco as well as international cuisine from around the world.
Built on the foundations of a traditional riad and retaining the original architecture this modern hotel is set amid mature olive trees, orange trees and jacarandas that form to make this the largest private garden in the medina.

We stepped inside the amazing door and it’s like a different world from the medina into this beautiful oasis of calm, enjoying an exclusive location on a quiet medina street just a few minutes’ walk from the main attractions of Marrakech.
We was greeted and shown around this amazing riad you have stunning views of everything the Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas mountains. This riad is perfect for a honeymoon location, it has everything you could possibly want or need. Great views, privacy and an amazing feel.
We enjoyed a cocktail in the beautiful garden before being seated for dinner in the restaurant and what a spectacular place it is.

The atmosphere was amazing, the restaurant filled up in no time at all. The service was perfect and could not be faulted. We had a moroccan salad to start, which as you can see from the picture below is colourful and tasted gorgeous.

To follow I had a Lamb Tagine as my main course this had been slow cooked and melted in your mouth, the flavours were delightful. With a little room left I had cinnamon oranges with a saffron ice cream.

The restaurant and bar occupy the former grand salon of the riad, with its impressive high sculpted cedar-wood ceiling, and have the intimate charm of a bygone era. There is also a sunny restaurant terrace overlooking the pool and gardens. The hotel also has its own rooftop cookery school, although Im not sure I could possibly be taught the amazing skills of the chef!
This restaurant is truly 5 star!
