Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge is set in a perfect location just a 20-minute walk away from Chora, the main town in Mykonos. a gathering of white-cube buildings, crowded round the hilly coast and facing out to the turquoise waters of Alefkandra Harbour. The town is easy going and steeped in antiquity, the season has just began but come the summer it’s luxe bars attract moneyed club kids and superstar DJs, this town is suitable for all ages I must add.
Mykonos is a great place to shop also as among its cobbled alleyways you’ll find great designer clothing and jewellery shops tucked in between shops selling traditional handicrafts. I found a beautiful shoe shop ‘Tia Handmade’ where Tia the owner herself makes beautiful designs of her own all very fashionable now everywhere on-line.
If raving till the early hours is not for you there’s also plenty of cultural sights to take in. The 16th-century windmills, the whitewashed Church of Panagia Paraportiani which is the former door to the city and Armenistis Lighthouse are just some of the city’s surviving ancient landmarks all worth taking a look at. Of course, you don’t have to do anything, with Megali Ammos beach just 150 metres from the hotel you can sunbathe and people watch.
This stunning beachside boutique hotel in Mykonos Town offers sea-view serenity and contemporary coastal cool and is refreshingly chilled, Bill & Coo is the designer destination of choice for jet-set romantics. Its poolside lounge bar is a picture of glassy elegance, just made for cocktails and relaxation.
Where to start to describe our beautiful Deluxe Suite, we had a lovely terrace with sun loungers and our own private hot tub, which I can honestly say we used to its full potential, every evening we would pour ourselves a glass of Greek wine and admire the Aegean Sea from the warmth of the tub, before getting ready for our night
Bill & Coo’s Gourmet Restaurant is a total interactive sensory experience of sound, scent, vision, taste and touch with a mouthwatering Mediterranean-cuisine inspired menu, crafted by Chef Athinagoras Kostakos, this distinguished Chef has created a Mediterranean-cuisine inspired menu of the freshest ingredients of the Mykonos Island, he is such a great guy he’s funny charming, handsome and god he can cook too.Watching him cook you can see that all he creates is with passion and with the use of fresh, seasonal and biological products from the blessed Greek land. Be prepared to not want to leave this beautiful five star resort. The pool area is a classy combination of glass and wood panel flooring which surrounds the stunning infinity pool. You can sit unwind at the bar area or on the sun loungers and admire the view. This hotel is known for the odd celebrity to visit and we did see someone but could not possibly say who…..The cosy sofas and cool Corian furniture are the perfect place from which to watch the sunset over a cocktail or two and look out for that celebrity.
I have one top tip high heels and cobbles were never destined to get on well, so make sure you have some flat party shoes if you are venturing into Town. Mykonos can be as layed back or dressy as you wish to be, but remember to take those sunnies as far as sunglasses are concerned, there’s no such thing as ‘too big’ in Mykonos. To summarise Bill and Coo Suites and Lounge is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in, perfect service, perfect food, perfect location, just absolutely perfect, thank you so much for having us stay with you it was a dream.
